January - February 1999. Metal detecting.
Belt of harness mount in shape of two acorns of varying sizes joined by a moulding at the base. Bent-over spikes on reverse. Nicely made. Early post medieval. 32mm x max 12mm.
Solid planeo-convex lead? Weight with relief cross on convex side. Weighing 6.69g (0.24oz) so possibly a late medieval/ early post medieval 1/4oz weight.
