Summary

Sporadic metal-detecting between 1999 and 2016 recovered Roman and medieval coins as well as a Middle/Late Saxon hooked tag and a medieval copper alloy seal matrix, with the central motif of a squirrel.

H. M. Geake (NCM) identified:
Copper alloy seal matrix, pointed oval with a raised rib and pierced lug on reverse. The front is very worn, but the central motif is a squirrel. Around this a hard-to-read legend: +: S'WILL'I.BRONT:.: 13th century.
