Full Description
December 1951. Listed, Grade II.
Late 16th century timber frame, much replaced in brick. Roof plain tiled to front, pantiled to rear. Ground floor rebuilt in 19th century with Venetian window, first floor rendered and colourwashed. Interior reveals the ground floor has been opened out. Large bridging beam with a scarf joint. Roll moulded bressumer to fireplace. This house was divided from No. 6 (NHER 12909) by a partition wall in the 18th century. The List Entry for NHER 12909 suggests this separation took place in 1739.
