Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 1998 and 2025 recovered a Late Bronze Age flint borer; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Late Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons; a post-medieval token and a range of other undated and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include undated copper alloy rings and a lead nail; a Roman brooch; Late Saxon strap ends; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval purse bar, key, copper alloy ewer spout, copper alloy bowl fragment, copper alloy cauldron foot, lead ampulla and lead weight; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy cooking vessel fragment and post-medieval thimbles, a belt or harness mount, possible child's spur, crotal bell, spoon, probable lead weights, lead musket ball and lead seal for wire or thread.
