H. M. Geake (NCM) identified:
Copper alloy medieval seal matrix in hexagonally facetted handle rising to a flattened pierced rounded terminal.
The die is circular and rather corroded and very hard to read. Central motif is probably an animal (bird with long beak, hare with long ears or squirrel with long tail). Legend, though clear in places, is unintelligible: *VEITCINERVAVI.
Polaroid and cast taken by NCM.
