Summary

This L-shaped timber framed house dates to the 17th century. Most of the house is externally plastered, although the west wing has a stepped brick gable and the northern end is brick faced. Until the late 1980s a 17th or 18th century timber framed barn stood close by.

17th century L shaped timber framed house, plastered, with black glazed pantiles on gabled roof. West wing has brick stepped gable incorporating massive external chimney.
North end brick faced with pilaster. Early 19th century doorcase and windows.

Timber framed barn formerly adjacent, known only from photographs (S2) taken in August 1988, when in state of collapse. Hard to make out detail, but what can be seen (large mid wall rail with bracing above, canted arched braces) suggests late 17th/early 18th century.
