Summary

This farmhouse is built from flint and brick. The earliest parts are probably 17th century in date. The roof level was raised and a chimney was added during the 18th century. A 'dairy' was built in the 19th century.

Map

Flint and brick farmhouse with timber framed partitions, the ground floor on a descendant of the hall and services plan with mortised timber paritions, the upper floor with non structural but contemporary timber partitions. Altered in 18th century by the insertion of another chimneystack, adaption of the original chimneystack, and raising of the roof. East extension enlarged into full height bay. Third section, marked as 'dairy', added in 19th century and later whole building converted to cottages. Important as a transitional example of plan and construction, original work probably late 17th century.
