Summary

Metal-detecting between 1999 and 2021 recovered Late Iron Age, Roman and post-medieval pottery sherds; a large number of Roman coins; Iron Age, medieval and post-medieval coins and a range of other, undated and Middle Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include undated silver and copper alloy ingots; a Middle Bronze Age unidentified copper alloy object; Late Iron Age brooches; Late Iron Age/Early Roman brooches; Roman brooches, finger rings, bracelet fragments, furniture fittings, cosmetic spoons, a mirror fragment, lock bolt, spoon handle, a copper alloy stud and copper alloy and silver beads; a late Roman military belt fitting; Early Saxon sword scabbard chape, tweezers and a wrist clasp eye-plate; a Middle Saxon polyhedral headed pin; a Middle/Late Saxon hooked tag and strap-end and medieval and post-medieval dress accessories, harness mounts and other metalwork.

Roman greyware sherds in a variety of coarse Nar Valley style fabrics: four jar rims, four bases, nine body sherds.
Some pieces quite fresh.
One sherd of later post-medieval iron glazed.

Undatable cast copper alloy ring, a copper alloy ingot and silver ingots (one roughly circular with rounded sides and two, probably hammered surfaces; the other a fragment with sub-rectangular cross-section).
Middle Bronze Age unidentified copper alloy object (originally identified as Roman, redated as Middle Bronze Age by A. Rogerson 4 October 2018).
5 Late Iron Age pottery sherds.
Late Iron Age/Early Roman brooches and miniature terret (S1).
Roman coin hoard of 3 silver radiates and the remains of a fourth, brooches, cosmetic spoon, furniture fitting, seal box lid, copper alloy hairpin, copper alloy finger ring, spoon, copper alloy sheet vessel fragments, the probable copper alloy casing of a weight with a lead core and unidentified copper alloy object.
Early Saxon sword scabbard chape and wrist clasp eye-plate.
Middle/Late Saxon strap-end.
Medieval casket key, strap-end and mount.
