Summary

Metal detecting recovered a Roman coin, a medieval buckle, a medieval seal matrix and a medieval coin. The seal matrix is engraved with a 'R'.

One Roman coin
One medieval coin. See lists in file.
Stirrup-shaped buckle frame with slight pin constriction (or wear?). Little moulding on frame near junction with pin, and collared knop very like (S1) from a late 14th century context.
Circular seal matrix with hexagonally facetted conical handle ending in a pointed, pierced flattened terminal. Die is engraved with a wellcut 'R' with a branch on either side. By analogy with finger-rings, 14th or 15th century.
