June/ July 1999. Metal detecting.
Very abroded globuler pin head. Slight traces of ring and dot and of a collar at top of short stub of shaft. 8th/ 9th century, Middle Saxon.
Early post medieval harness mount. Roughtly rectangular (45x12mm) with deeply moulded cast decoration of a central rose and an elaborate fleur de lis at each end. Signs of gilding. Two flat section spikes on reverse.
