Summary

This two-storey building was built as a house in the early 17th century, altered in the late 19th century and is now two shops. It has rendered and whitewashed flint and brick walls, pantiled roofs and a reused datestone of 1655.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House, now two shops. Early 17th century, altered late 19th century. Rendered and whitewashed flint and brick; pantiled roofs. T-shaped plan. Exterior: two-storey façade in two-window range…Gabled roof with rebuilt internal gable-end stack to east. Two-storey rear wing with label stops to doorway on east side...Reused datestone: 1655.
Interior: chamfered bridging beams with tongue stops and run-out stops. Ground-floor east room with two wave-moulded bridging beams with run-out stops. Roof of rear wing of upper crucks, one remaining visible."

[Nos 25, 27 and 29 originally an] early 17th-century house altered 19th century converted to shops. Flint and brick, rendered. YT plan. Internal gable stack to east. Rear wing with east doorway with label stops. 19th-century windows. Reset datestone 1655. Interior has tongue and runout stops. Ground floor east room with two wave moulded bridging beams with runbout stops. Rear wing roof of upper crucks.
