Summary

No 63 is a house of around 1540, converted to a shop in the 19th century and altered in 1965. This two-storey building is of brick and flint and probably originally had a lobby entrance. Inside a number of mid-16th-century roll-moulded bridging beams with run-out stops survive, and some 18th-century panelling.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House, now shop. c.1540, converted to shop [in] 19th century and altered 1965. Rendered and colourwashed brick and flint, pantiled roof. Probably originally a lobby-entrance plan. Exterior: two storeys, two-window range. Ground floor with glazed shop display windows of 1965...Dentil eaves cornice. Gabled roof. Ridge stack set right of centre. Interior: ground floor with mid-16th-century roll-moulded bridging beams with run-out stops. Some mid-18th-century large-framed panelling..."
