October 1999. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of laying of water main by Anglian Water, in alleged area of find NHER 8081. Contexts 2-5.
At east end, outside entrance to Manor Farm a probable ditch crossed the trench, it was infilled with organic waterlogged deposits. Three fragments of human skeletal remains were found in the fills of this feature. They were reburied in the trench.
No other archaeological features or deposits were seen in the monitored length of trench.
