Summary

Metal detecting between 1997 and 2022 recovered a Late Prehistoric retouched flint flake; a Neolithic polished flint axehead; medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Late Iron Age/Roman (Roman issue), Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons; post-medieval tokens and a range of other, Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated copper alloy vessel leg or piece of casting waste; a Roman brooch and silver finger ring; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval keys, a furniture fitting, spur, copper alloy weight, lead papal bull and lead ampulla; a medieval/post-medieval purse fragment, copper alloy vessel fragments and lead weight and post-medieval crotal bells, coin weights, a dagger guard and quillons, a silver mount or dress fastener and lead alloy weight.
