Summary

Metal detecting here in 1998 recovered an early post medieval sword belt mount. This particular example was very worn but two iron rivets survived.

Early post medieval sword belt mount, now very worn but originally sub-triangluar with a central vertical groove running down to a loop or hook. Two iron rivets. See for comparison looped example from Mutford, Suffolk.
