Full Description
January 1946.
RAF aerial photograph shows small rectangular ditched enclosure with adjacent enclosures and north northeast to south southwest aligned ditched causeway.
Grassland in 1946 but shown as woodland on recent Ordnance Survey maps.
Probably toft (at least) or more likely a farmstead or manorial complex.
H. Paterson (A&E) hopefully to investigate, possible survey if felt justified.

No evidence of ditch like features apparent on aerial photograph.
In east corner several ponds of which 2 could possibly resemble fish ponds. However in conversation with owner, it is apprent that whole area is 'pock marked' with ponds in what was a marshy scrub land. Land was reclaimed and ploughed in 1950s but this area was never productive. Conifers were planted in the 1970s. Some planting is taking place at present. Many old oaks within plantation.
