Summary

Metal detecting here in 1998 recovered an enormous late medieval/early post medieval enormous thimble. The side of the thimble was covered with a neat spiral of handmade circular indentations which continues on the top but leaves the crown bare.

Late medieval/early post medieval enormous thimble. Straight plain rim, side covered with a neat spiral of handmade circular indentations. The spiral continues on the top but leaves the crown bare.
