Map

August-Setpember 1999. Metal detecting.
Identified by H.M. Geake (NCM).
Medieval/early post medieval repair patch made of sheet copper alloy, roughly triangular but now probably incomplete. Two rivet holes survive, one with a rivet in situ which seems to have a clenched-over pointed tip. Possibly from a vessel.
Early post medieval double looped copper alloy buckle frame, both loops rectangular, one outer edge missing. The frame is D-shaped in section and the bar is slightly narrowed.
A. Rogerson (NLA), 13 October 1999.
