Summary

Metal detecting and excavation in this area during 1999 and 2007-2008 recovered a variety of objects. Finds included Roman fired clay and tiles, medieval and post medieval coins and post medieval objects. In addition, sherds of Roman objects, medieval and post medieval pottery were retrieved from this site. The tiles may suggest that a Roman building stood here, whereas some of the fired clay may relate to a hearth.
