Summary

Pecks Farm Cottages are a pair of semi-detached cottages, dated between the early 16th and 17th centuries. These two storey cottages are constructed from rough-cast over a timber frame, and have a gabled pantile roof. There is a central 17th century brick ridge stack finished in early 20th century brick. Inside there are chamfered ground-floor beams, exposed timber framing with arch-bracing, and two tie-beams of a collar-truss roof with butt purlins. There are also 17th century winder stairs from the first floor to the attic, and 17th century floorboards in the attic.

Listing Description excerpt:

Timber framed house of around 1500, three cell cross passage pattern with original off centre stack and upper floor. Unglazed windows on two levels. Very elaborate fireplace bresumer and carved post; one large room above hall and services; possibly for manorial purposes such as a stewards house. Glazed windows inset around 1600. Further alterations into the cottages in 19th century.
