Summary

Metal-detecting in 1999 recovered an unusual U-shaped copper alloy object that was subsequently identified as potentially an Iron Age yoke terminal. A fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey of part of this field in 2008 recovered objects of predominantly post-medieval date, including pottery sherds, roof tiles and a small number of metal objects. The only earlier finds was a pottery sherd of Roman or medieval date.
