Full Description
October-November 1999. Metal detecting.
Medieval Ae shield shaped horse harness pendant. See separate identification and drawing (S1) by S. J. Ashley (NLA) in file.
Post medieval large lead alloy button with relief decoration of a six-petalled flower with pellets between the petals. Broken off loop on reverse. 17th century. Identified by H. M. Geake (NCM).
Post medieval possible badge in the shape of an openwork crown with something crossed through it. This looks modern in its alloy and in its shape, but it has decoration of C-shaped stamps which look hand made. Perhaps 17th century. Identified by H. M. Geake (NCM).
K. Hinds (NLA) 24 February 2000.
