1997. Metal detecting.
Found at [1]:
Medieval bronze seal matrix, a flat pointed oval in shape with a raised rib and pierced lug on reverse. The design is (reading from the top) a six-point star above a fish with head uppermost, with four fins, scales and a forked tail. Next to the fish's head (to the L) is a round object with a decoration similar to the fish's scales (?a loaf). The legend around is unclear: +S'.IOhIS.LA…RVDI.CLICI (Seal of John La…rudi, Clerk).

Found by R. Purdy in 1997 and previously recorded by H M Geake (NCM) in May 1998.
Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, flat with rib ending in pierced lug. Pointed oval, 32 x 19mm. Mermaid swimming left towards six-pointed star. + S’ • IOhIS • GAR RAVDI • CL’ICI (Seal of John Gerald clerk). There is a gap between the two parts of the surname at a point of the oval.
