Summary

A systematic fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey undertaken in 2004 recorded a small concentration of late medieval pottery towards the centre of the site as well as a moderate quantity of prehistoric struck flint including a core, blades, scrapers, and an awl, a small quantity of post-medieval pottery and ceramic building material, a post-medieval gun flint, and a few post-medieval metal objects. Subsequent metal-detecting in 2012 recovered a Roman pin, a medieval seal matrix and a post-medieval lead weight. The results of fieldwalking in 2000 are awaited.
