Full Description

February 2004. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey. Contexts 1-96.
Finds included:
53 prehistoric struck flints, including 1 core, 3 blades, 2 scrapers, 1 awl, and 2 piercers.
1 burnt flint fragments.
7 medieval pottery sherds.
1 ?medieval lead ?weight.
10 post-medieval pottery sherds, 3 fragments ceramic building material, 1 token, 1 silver button, 1 belt mount
1 post-medieval gun flint.
1 fragment undated metal-working debris.
7 objects of non-archaeological value.
The flint collected from this site was not particularly diagnostic or datable, but it most likely dates to the later prehistoric period (Later Neolithic to Iron Age). Two of the blades may be of slightly earlier date.
The late medieval pottery sherds were clustered toward the centre of the site.

The associated archive has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2017.431).
