Full Description
October 1951. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"Range of houses and shops. Probably 17th century. Timber frame building with roughcast front and early 19th-century fenestration. Steeply pitched pantile roof with brick coped gable ends. Overhanging moulded eaves with paired brackets. Two storeys and attic. Seven windows. Sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor. Nos. 13, 19 and 21 have 19th-century shop fronts with thin pilasters, fascias and cornices, No. 13 has glazing bars intact. Nos. 15 and 17 have moulded architrave door-cases with cornices and panelled doors. Three segmental headed dormers with glazing bars. Brick chimney stacks. 18th-century brick wing at rear of No. 19 and 21. Lean-to on north end. Interior chamfered beams."

Timber-framed two-storey houses probably dating to about 1600, altered in 18th and 19th centuries.
Outbuilding to rear of numbers 17 to 19, 19th century, probably a stable converted to an early photographers workshop.
