Summary

Metal-detecting in 1989 and between 2004 and 2015 recovered post-medieval pottery sherds; medieval roof tile fragments; a Late Saxon/medieval limestone spindle whorl; Roman, Middle Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and token and Late Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches, a nail cleaner and cosmetic implements; an Early Saxon Frankish belt fitting and a fragment of square-headed brooch; a Middle Saxon pin; a Late Saxon disc brooch; medieval seal matrices and a buckle; a medieval/post-medieval buckle and a post-medieval escutcheon plate, sundial fragment and a book clasp.
