Summary

Metal detecting in 1997 recovered a number of objects from the Roman to post medieval periods. These are thought to have derived from somewhere in the parish of Wreningham. Of particular note is a square mount of cast copper alloy with well preserved gilding and silvering which is thought to have been made in northern France in the 9th century.
