Summary

The oldest part of this house is the north wing which dates to 1741. The barn was also built in this period. The main block is Regency in style, and was built around 1820 when the barn was also extended. It is recorded that some of the outbuildings were once a tannery. A Neolithic polished and then chipped axe was found in the building during 2000, but it is not clear when or where this was originally found.
