Full Description
January 1995. Aerial Photograph Interpretation.
Positive cropmarks/soilmarks on aerial photographs (S1) taken in 1976.
Ring work (very faint).
See cropmark transcription (S2) in file.
D. Voisey (NLA), 23 January 1995. Amended by H. Hamilton (HES), 15 June 2020.
July 2003. Aerial Photograph Interpretation.
NGR corrected from original TF 9105 9797.
Possibly the ditch of a circular enclosure or ring ditch, as there is no evidence of a bank. The site is also visible on 1946 aerial photographs (S3) as a copse of trees with the ditch visible as a slight earthwork. It could therefore be a post-medieval park feature.
M. Horlock (NLA), 23 July 2003. Amended by H. Hamilton (HES), 15 June 2020.
