Full Description
26 June 1978. After heavy rain, there was a serious subsidence in the road at the point shown on the map.
This extended over an area approximately 2.5m square and about 2m deep.
Engineers Department [1] considered that this was due to water seeping into an old trench fill which was then slipping and being carried away towards the line of the 'Cockey'.
No sign of tunnel, drain or other features. No finds.
M. Atkin.
