Map

27 June 1946. RAF aerial photography.
(Extant) Round barrow.
D. Voisey (NLA) 9 February 1996.

Site visited by E Rose (NLA),February 1996.
Site covered by pine trees about 20 years old, thinned and lopped. Much dead bracken, all the same no trace of surface undulations. The land may have been levelled when the trees were planted, however the site is directly below an abrupt escarpment to the south, and on a gentle slope falling to the stream to the north, a most improbable feature for a barrow. Is the feature on the photograph an illusion?
E. Rose (NLA) 22 March 2007.
