Full Description
1946. RAF air photography.
27 May 1974. Ordnance Survey air photography.
Positive cropmarks.
Two ring ditches. (S1) shows the northern most barrow clearer than (S2).
D. Voisey (NLA), 18 December 1995.
October 2025. Northwest Norfolk Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AI&M) Project.
The site of the probable Bronze Age round barrow described above is visible as a low earthwork, soilmarks and cropmarks on visualised lidar data (S3) and aerial photographs (S4-S5). Only the mound is visible as an earthwork. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthwork still survives. Note that the second (northernmost) ring ditch described above refers to NHER 35537, located 66m to the north.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 17 October 2025.
