December 1999 to January 2000. Metal detecting.
1) Medieval terminal from a small spur, with fragment of slender curving side. The terminal is a figure-of-eight, attached by the top loop which has a small triangular projection to the rear.
2) Late Medieval disc-on-tongue brooch. Circular frame of pentagonal section, with gilding surviving on the flat reverse. There is a pin constriction running all the way round the frame at 12 o'clock, and at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock there are slots cut in the obverse. The pin survives, also gilded, with a lozengiform "disc" on which are four decorative knob-headed rivets (one now loose). Diameter 22mm. Polaroid see (S1).
3) Medieval/Post medieval Eight-pointed spur rowel with central circular perforation and slim oval-section points. Diameter 28mm. Not closely datable.
