Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 2000 recovered a variety of objects. Finds included Roman coins and a steelyard weight, a medieval horse harness pendant and a post medieval buckle.

Finder reports this field as 'meadowland'. Not likely to have been actual meadowland at any time. Out of flood plain, above 25m contour, therefore higher than St Mary's church on the opposite side of the valley.
