Summary

This timber-framed house dates to the early 17th century. The roof was altered in the late 17th century and the house was clad in brick in two periods around 1800. Inside, there are two fine 16th century fireplaces said to come from Rainthorpe Hall.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"17th century timber-framed house faced in red brick in 19th century. Steep pantile roof with gabled ends. Brick chimney stack off centre. Two storeys and attic (attic window in gable end). Four window range. 19th century, 2 and 3-light casements, some with leaded panes. Modern door in front of stack."

Timber framed early 17th century house, three cell, two storey, off centre chimneystack. Timber framed wing. Roof altered in late 17th century. House clad in brick in two periods around 1800 (one date 1815) and main roof remade. Two fine 16th century fireplaces, said to come from Rainthorpe Hall, brought in at this time. Very much altered in 2000.
