Location

Civil Parish GRIMSTON, WEST NORFOLK, NORFOLK

June 2000. Metal detecting. Found by [1].
Post medieval posy ring.
It is inscribed inside 'remember me' and there are traces of black enamel left in the inscription. It is a very charming piece being so small in size, but as it is otherwise plain and bears no assay marks, it is very difficult to date with any accuracy. There is certainly no evidence to date it to before 1700, and it is most likely to be 18th century. It does not therefore fall within the Treasure remit.
Identified by [2].
