Summary

Metal-detecting between 2000 and 2022 recovered Neolithic/Late Bronze Age flint flakes; undatable copper alloy and lead metal-working debris; Late Iron Age (Roman issue), Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and a range of other Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Bronze Age socketed hammer; a Roman brooch, cosmetic mortar, tweezers and copper alloy vessel handle; an Early Saxon brooch; Late Saxon bridle fittings and a disc brooch; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including medieval gold finger rings); a medieval sword pommel, casket key, thimble and copper alloy seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval spur rowel and copper alloy vessel fragments and post-medieval coin weights, harness mounts, a crotal bell and lead weight.
