Summary

This house and shop can be interpreted in several different ways. One interpretation is that the house was built in the 17th century on a three cell plan. It was extended around 1710 and was much altered and extended around 1810. Alternatively the house and shop may both date to the 19th century. The shop still has its original front.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Early 19th century shop and house. Brick and pantile. Shop defined by two giant rusticated pilasters. Three bay house, two storeys. Imitation sash windows with flat arches. Central doorway with hood, and blind window above."
