Full Description
Before 10 October 2000. Metal detecting.
Coin brooch: Gros (groat) Tournois of Philip IV of France (1285-1314) (S1). Obverse is gilded and on reverse silver fittings, a loop through which passes a tapering strip and a broken (incomplete) strip. All are soldered to the coin. Weighing 4.59g. Coin dated to 1285 to 1290.
Submitted for consideration as Treasure, declared Treasure 31 May 2001 and subsequently acquired by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2002.116)
