Early May 2000. Drilled peas.
Surface finds of two Roman sherds on line of north to south lode; this position is very far out into the fen. Was the lode active in Roman period?
Basal sherd of micaeous greyware vessel; a small pot, base diameter less than 40mm.
Body sherd pale brown slightly micaceous, probable flagon. Both sherds quite fresh and part covered with a white chalky deposit.
