Summary

Metal-detecting between 2000 to 2017 recovered Middle Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons; post-medieval tokens and a range of other, undated and Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated lead weight; a Late Bronze Age socketed axehead or chisel fragment; a potentially Late Bronze Age copper alloy casting jet; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; a Roman cuirass hinge and copper alloy pin; an Early Saxon brooch and leaf-shaped iron spearhead; Late Saxon stirrup-strap mounts; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval horse-harness pendant, harness mount, copper alloy seal matrix, lead ampulla and lead weight; a medieval/post-medieval candlestick, spur fragment, copper alloy vessel foot and lead weight and post-medieval purse frame fragments, belt fittings or harness mounts, a spoon, knife end stop, possible casket mount, Jew's harp, hooked sword-belt fitting, copper alloy seal matrices, lead powder charger cap, lead cloth seal and possible lead weight.
