Summary

At some time prior to November 2000 a Palaeolithic flint handaxe and a flake were recovered from the fields surrounding a cottage on Mill Road. The finder also a large collection of unrecorded finds (mostly Neolithic/Early Bronze Age) that have been recovered from the same area.

Found in fields surrounding cottage near TG 3075 0222:
1 Palaeolithic flint handaxe. Small ficron type. See drawing (S1).
1 Palaeolithic flint flake. See drawing (S2).
Identified by P. Robins (NCM), November/December 2000. See descriptions in file. These discoveries were reported in (S3).

According to notes made by P. Robins, these finds are part of a large collection of artefacts recovered from the fields surrounding the above grid reference. These are apparently mostly Neolithic/Early Bronze Age. Only a small number of these finds have previously been recorded (see NHER 10307, NHER 10314 and NHER 10318).
