Summary

Metal detecting between 2000 and 2015 recovered a medieval/post-medieval pottery sherd; medieval and post-medieval coins and Roman and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include Roman brooches; a Middle/Late Saxon strap end; a Late Saxon harness fitting; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval/post-medieval purse fragments, copper alloy rings, possible musket balls and lead weight and post-medieval harness mounts, an escutcheon plate for drop handle, furniture stud, crotal bell, Jew's harp, coin weight,and powder charge caps or measures and lead cloth seal.
