Summary

An area of ancient woodland, with a wide wood bank, probably dating to the medieval or the post mediveal period. The wood is the same size and shape as when it was depicted on Faden's map of 1797.

Very wide bank along western edge with external ditch; no trees on it more than approximately 50 years old.
