December 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a previously recorded (see above) rectilinear enclosure of an unknown date are seen on aerial photographs. The feature may date to the medieval to post-medieval period and may be associated with further enclosures, field boundaries and trackways recorded in close proximity, which may form part of a medieval to post-medieval field system (NHER 66275). However, an earlier, Iron Age to Roman date for the enclosure cannot be ruled out. The monument polygon has been updated to the location of the enclosure as seen on the aerial photographs (S7) [1].
