Map

2000. Systematic Fieldwalking Survey.
Non-collection fieldwalking undertaken as part of archaeological assessment of Holkham Estate (Field 43).
A long field running along the slope down to the marshes with Marsh House Farm at the east end. The field runs on to the low 'island' upon which stands Marsh House Farm. The island is slightly gravelly with loamy clay elsewhere on the field.
The east end only of the field was walked, to locate and define any area of flints on the mound. There were no finds from the area of the mound, with a single prehistoric flint flake from the main part of the field.
