Post medieval strap fitting with suspension chain.
Very roughly rectangular (maximum 18mm by 13mm) copper alloy sheet with two small attachments holes. Front face gilded, decorated with wavy lines, part punched and part repousse. A circular loop is firmly attached to one long side and is set at right angles to the plain of the sheet. To this is looped a chain of six circular wire links, external diameter 12mm. The wire is of circular section, diameter 2mm.
