Cropmarks of linear features and enclosures of a probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S3-S5). The features likely form part of a medieval to post medieval field system. The features are visible as earthworks and some of the features are in use as modern boundaries on the 1940s digital aerial photograph layer (S2). The features are subsequently levelled and visible as cropmarks on modern aerial photographs (S3-S5). Some of the features are visible as boundaries on the Tithe (S6) and Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6" map (S7), however it is possible that some of these boundaries may have had earlier medieval origin.
J. Powell (Norfolk County Council Environment Service), 16 February 2026
