Summary

Metal detecting around a group of ring ditches from 2000 to 2025 recovered Early Neolithic, Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age and undiagnostic Late Prehistoric worked flints; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton and a range of other, Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman cosmetic mortar and minitature terret ring; Roman brooches; an Early Saxon brooch; a Late Saxon brooch, stirrup-strap mount and gold finger ring; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval knife fragment, sword/dagger pommel cap, padlock mechanism and harness stud; a medieval/post-medieval purse fragment, copper alloy ring, vessel fragment and ; and a post-medieval rowel spur fragment, spoon, harness fitting, mount, hawking whistle, furniture fitting, unidentified copper alloy object fragments and lead cloth seal.
