Map

26 June 1996. NLA air photography.
Cropmark site consisting of several components.
The most extensive element is a double ditched boundary, which to its northern end forms part of an enclosure.
The inner ditch is very broad and has causeways.
Two rectilinear enclosures are co joined to this linear.
The majority of these elements are marked on (S1) and are therefore likely to be medieval or post medieval.
The enclosure to the north appears to relate to a building marked on the map.
A trackway is visible to the south of the site, coming out of the woods. It is not clear whether this is the same date as the rest of the site, although it is on a similar alignment to field boundaries in that area.
At TF 9640 0523 is a square enclosure. It is positioned upon a different alignment to the main axis of the rest of the enlosures and boundaries. It is felt that this is earlier, possibly a Late Iron Age/Roman enclosure.
S. Massey (NLA), 23 August 2001.

1 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Cropmarks visible to west of Ridley Covert.
Alignment suggest all may be field boundaries of relatively recent date.
M. Brennand (NLA), 14 September 2001.
